Who runs this site

Marcus Runs the Math is published by LDGMK Capital LLC, based in Jacksonville, Florida. By using this site, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

Estimates only, not advice

Every calculator, number and worked example on this site is an educational estimate built from the inputs you provide and the assumptions stated on each calculator page. Nothing on this site is personalized financial, investment, tax or legal advice. We are not your financial advisor, accountant, tax preparer, or attorney, and nothing here should be treated as a substitute for advice from a licensed professional who knows your full situation. See the Disclaimer page for more detail on how the calculators work and what they assume.

No warranty

This site and its calculators are provided "as is" and "as available," with no warranty of any kind, express or implied, including (without limitation) any warranty that the calculators are accurate, uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. Tax rates, contribution limits and other figures change over time; we try to keep them current but can't guarantee they're up to date the moment you visit.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, LDGMK Capital LLC and the people who work on this site are not liable for any loss or damage (direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential) arising from your use of, or reliance on, this site or its calculators, including any financial decision you make based on a number shown here. Use the calculators at your own discretion and verify anything important with a licensed professional before acting on it.

Acceptable use

You agree to use this site only for lawful purposes and not to: try to disrupt or overload the site (including automated scraping that degrades performance for other visitors), attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the site or its systems, or use the site's content in a way that violates any applicable law. We may block or restrict access for anyone who violates these terms.

This site links to outside resources, including Marcus's book, Money Math for Your 20s, on Amazon, and to government and reference sources used for the figures on each calculator page (IRS, Social Security Administration, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and similar). We don't control those outside sites and aren't responsible for their content, accuracy, or availability. Links to Amazon may be affiliate links; see the Privacy Policy for how we handle data.
